I can't seem to be able to send good video call quality on Skype and Hangouts. Here's where I'm at so far.

Environment
- Clearos 5.2
- Web proxy enabled in transparent mode
- Bandwidth management disabled

Symptoms
- Bad sending video quality on both mobile and sufficiently powered desktop
- Audio quality is fine on both clients, sending and receiving
- If on mobile and on cellular data (4g) video quality is perfect
- The problem only occurs with Skype and Hangouts not Face time

Could anybody speak into this issue? Has anyone ever seen this or had it happen to them?

Thanks
Scott

    Upstream speeds are as follows:
    4g: 2.5mbps
    Cable: 4mbps

What is your upstream speed (sending) for your Internet connection? I can get better upstream on my 3G phone than I do on my 25 Mbps broadband cable.

Cable: 25 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up
Mobile 3G: 2 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up

Yes, that cable upstream is brutal in this day and age! The QoS app in the ClearOS Professional beta would likely improve the situation, but there's only so much that can be done with limited upstream (in my case).
