I noticed the other day when i do a speed test i get a download speed of over 300mp/s. i obviously think this has to do with the cache abilities of ClearOS. Where can i bypass these sites to get a true reading of speed?
Thanks

    thanks tim.

I figured it was because of a third party server in the mix but i never knew how to track it down.

for me i had to add swiftsystems.com to the bypass the proxy.
Its interesting that they use a bunch of random jpgs to test speeds.

I found my new favorite log to watch in live view.

Also. why doesnt CLEAROS have a live graph of bandwidth useage? dd-wrt, monowall, and tangle all do.

    cool, thanks for the tip.

I have been doing this by monitoring the network traffic reports on the ethernet port, but your way seems easier :-)

Yeah I see the same issue here, you'll need to add the domain of the test server your using (not speedtest.net)

You can find this by monitoring the squid log during a test, /var/log/squid/access.log then add the domains to the "Web Proxy > Website Bypass" in the webconfig

I have seen exactly what you are describing before, however after seeing your post today, I went and tried it again at both sites and it worked just fine. The times I remembered it doing it in the past were from the speedtest.net ipad app, but what I did today was from both the PC and the iPad and they worked find.. lol. If you figure out what is causing it, please post a reply.
