Hi :)

I wonder if anyone knows if there will come any app for CD / DVD burning in ClearOS Marketplace?

I just wonder because I think it would be an easier way to burn CD / DVD disks on the server if you could do it on the server configer/dashbord page.

The link is missing the last three letters ("ine").

I have my home server in an open room, easy to get to, and i have lots and lots of linux distros ISO's on some flexshares. buring this images can be hard if i have to transfer them to a desktop/laptop everytime. so i install CDW and it works great. its a CLI tool, but its much better than anything else available for the CLI. not to mention its fast.

    hm

I still think it could be something useful to have on the home server.
well, I guess I'm stuck with using the terminal for burning old dvds when my workstation computer's burner isn't working.

    Hi,

I doubt there is much interest in this feature...Speaking only for myself, this would be valuable to me because:
    [ol]
  • CD/DVD's are inconvenient and slow

  • My server doesn't have a DVD

  • If I did have a burner, my server is tucked back so far into the corner of my home office as to be physically inaccessible (or at least really difficult to get to)

  • [/ol]

What is your use case? Perhaps there is a better alternative...

    B.
