Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this in, please move this if it isn't.

I have some questions regarding the ClearOS 6.2 mostly the professional version.

I have no problems with their being a professional version which is fine although not much has been described about costing for the professional version or how the system works. Would this be a monthly/yearly fee you would need to pay to use professional or would you just download the professional version and pay for the apps that professional provide?

This then brings me to my next question, zarafa small business. Currently we have a client who is using zarafa small business and has this licensed for a year. Due to a security matrix they will need to upgrade to ClearOS 6.2 however I was wondering if they did this would they then need to buy zarafa small business server again to use the professioanal version or would they need to use the community version and then just import the license from there? Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Assuming your client is licensed for version 7.x of Zarafa, I would imagine that it is transferable across systems regardless of whether you are running Zarafa on ClearOS5 or ClearOS6 when released

The is a list of ClearSDN partners here?

    Peter,
Thanks for clearing up some of my concerns. Do you know when ClearCenter will release a price list for how much professional will cost?

Judging from what you were saying regard beta for zarafa will be in april do you think that the final release product will be available around may? Or will there still be more beta's after the 1st one from RC?

Sorry for the questions I'm just trying to get a general idea when it could be released so I can let my clients know ahead of time regarding this.

Also just another thing I don't know if I should be asking this here or e-mailing but do you guy's have partnerships with companies where they sell your products for you in different countries?

    Hi there.

Many details are still in flux, but here is some additional info:

    - The Professional subscription is still annual (though adding a monthly option is certainly a desire).

    - Zarafa integration is nearing completion and should be ready for beta testing in April.

    - I doubt that re-purchasing the Zarafa subscription would be necessary. You can always contact ClearCenter sales for solving these types of issues.

    - Many software vendors (including Zarafa) depend on their partner network for providing first line support. When that's the case, the software will only be made available on the Professional Edition. Zarafa Community will be available in the ClearOS Community Edition.
