As you all know, i'm newbie here and also zero knowledge of LInux/ClearOS. I have been tasked with backup a clearos server that was setup by another person and the guy left. I dont know where to go with this. I am supposed to backup the server to a Datto NAS share, any help will be appreciated. I need a instructions on how to do this, mind you, I need a dummy instuction.

Accepted AnswerNick HowittOfflineIt depends on what you server is running as to what you need to back up. At a minimum you should back up the basic configs. There is a nightly backup of them in /var/clearos/configuration_backup. What do yu use the server for? Fileshares, web server, e-mail (Kopano, Zarafa or Cyrus-IMAP) and so on. How does ClearOS connect to the NAS? Is there a permanent connection? Does it use NFS or CIFS? Can it run rsync? Does the NAS come with any backup agent?
