Hi,

I have a VLAN already configured in my ClearOS and I need to configure a second VLAN, the question would be: Can this be done? The other question would be: What is the difference between VLAN Interface and Virtual Interface?

I appreciate your attention and your collaboration.

VLAN's and Virtual Interfaces are pretty similar in terms of configuration. One just gives a bunch of IP's to an existing interface, the other gives an IP to the interface and tags all the packets with a VLAN ID. It also gives a subnet which the devices on the VLAN can use. If you need the packets to be VLAN tagged, use a VLAN interface. If you are just trying to get another IP on the interface, use a virtual interface.
