Hello All,

Yesterday I have installed ClearOS 7 (Community). Installation process was perfect & delightful as compare to other versions. After installation/configuration when service of Content Filter is turned ON there is no browsing means Server Machine does not allow user to browse. All settings in Content Filter as being set as default, no changes were made but as soon as I turn OFF Content Filter Service, browsing starts automatically without any fault.
Can you please assist me that whats wrong? Either reinstallation of Content Filter & Web Proxy is required or other wise?

Regards
Asad Siddiqui

That order should be fine and it should not matter. You can also install them together.

There is one more question that does priority of installation of packages matter? I have installed Web Proxy first & then Web Content Filter, is that the issue?

You can also use this as a tool to see what is going on with both the proxy server and the content filter:

Yes, browser is being configured to use proxy server IP & port as 8080 but still no browsing.

Right now i have done some modification in Dansgaurdian.conf file mentioning the default port as 8080 & default IP as IP of Server rather than loopback. After doing this, at the bottom of browser status bar says "Waiting for Proxy Tunnel" & after some time it gives error & no browsing.

Did you configure your browser to use the proxy (port 8080 for the content filter)?
