I could not find this in the forums.
Can the community version do DHCP Relay?
I am hoping to use clearOS as our primary firewall/router but our network has 4 VLANs, each with it's own subnet and the only DHCP server I want is running, is already on the server.
Layer 3 switches handle this with an "ip-helper address" but my HP switches only do layer 2 so I am hoping the clearOS box can handle forwarding the DHCP requests from all VLANs to the DHCP server.
VLAN 1 - 10.10.1.x
VLAN 2 - 10.10.2.x
VLAN 5 - 10.10.5.x
VLAN 10 - 10.10.10.x
If this is possible, my second question is "does dhcp relay also work on virtual interfaces" or do I need all physical ports?
Thanks.
