This morning, every site we try to go to gives a error saying "Error connecting to ClamD socket". ClearOS is the gateway, firewall, etc.

Transparent Mode is set to "Enabled"
Content Filter is set to "Enabled"
Filter Mode is set to "filtered"

If I changed Filter mode to "unfiltered" all is well.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

    It happened again this morning.

I did a "service clamd status" and got back "clamd dead but pid file exists". I stopped it and then tried to restart and got this:

    service clamd start
Starting clamav: -bash: line 1: 2429 Segmentation fault /usr/sbin/clamd
    [FAILED]

I then stopped conten filter while in Clearos, restarted it and then was able to restart clamd

Any ideas what is causing it??

    Thanks!

Have you tried manually updating the distro? Perhaps there's a bug in the system.

    yum upgrade

I forgot to follow up on this. It was a hardware related issue and unrelated to ClearOS.
