    Try for Eshiksa,
Which is easy to manage & user-friendly app.

eShiksa is an education management portal which simplifies the management and provides enormous facilities to an Institute. With eShiksa, institutes can easily connect with students and parents which helps in student’s growth because it creates a single window for viewing various reports on the academic front and paying all kinds of institute fees online.

Have you seen? (manual ubuntu steps near the bottom)
    http://www.projectfedena.org/install

The manual installation steps should get you most of the way there. It would appear you need to install the Mysql app, Web server app, and then Ruby and Rubygems. These are available from the clearos-core repo:-
    yum --enablerepo=clearos-core app-mysql app-web-server ruby ruby-devel ruby-ri ruby-rdoc ruby-irb ruby-libs rubygems

You would then setup a database in Mysql using the phpmyadmin link (webconfig).
Extract the fedena source code into the website directory of your choice
Configure the database.yml file to point to your database you setup in step 1
    Install the additional ruby gems
Finally run the script/server command to start the server, and navigate to http://clearosip:3000 from a browser

I've not tried the above so do post back if you hit a problem :)
