I started with a new installation of ClearOS 7 after a few years of absence. I have a system with 2 1Tb disks and a 250Gb SSD (used for Squid cache) .
While installing I followed the steps in this artikle, https://documentation.clearos.com/content:en_us:7_d_raid_1_-_mirroring and things wend well.
Checking with mdstat showed progress in building a RAID1 config on the 2 1Tb disks.
After installation I see in the web console the following;
And mdstat gives this;
Something tells me that I don't have a RAID1 config at all..
Am I wrong or is everything oke?

I don't know RAID very well, I'm away from home and my only RAID machine is powered off so I can't have a look. I would use commands like:
to see how things are set up. Also mdadm has a some commands to help. It is a bit more complicated if you are using the LVM on top of RAID.fdisk -l
lsblk
cat /etc/fstab -

BTW, you only need an SSD for a squid cache if you have a fast line, perhaps > 50 Mb/s, and, even then, if you have a fast line, you might as well turn the squid cache off. Personally I'd have installed onto SSD then put things like flexshares onto RAID (and perhaps backup /etc there as well). -

Thanx for your answer. I have set the motherboard SATA controllers to ACHI and made the mirror while installing Clearos. So no onboard RAID array.
The documentation is, as far as I can see, for software RAID1. And that's what I want. My main concern is that looking at the Storage manager screen
is that the second disk shows that it's not in use. And the cli states it is.

Were did you installed your system? On the RAID array? I think the documentation is for installing a system on a RAID 1 array. The documentation lets you install 3 partitions. /, /boot and swap. Or do you want a separate RAID 1 array for data storage?
