Friends,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post, so please excuse if not...

After rebuilding my server, I had a problem with the SoftSqueeze app streaming through SSH. In debugging this problem, I accidentally destroyed the file:

/home/username/.ssh/known_hosts

How can I regenerate this file?

Many Thanks!
Drew

    Hi Tim,

Apparently Softsqueeze needs the file, but cannot restore the contents if it is empty. As you note that a SSH client controls the file, do you know of a client that could recreate it? Hoping that was the case. I had earlier tried logging in via PuTTY to that account and that did not touch the file.

    Cheers,
    Drew

Hi Drew, this file is managed by the ssh client, and it saves previously used hosts

It's not required for the operation of the SSH server on ClearOS?
