My customer is trying to finish change from ClarConnect 5.0. I've purchased ClearOS Pro. They use the included email server.
ClarkConnect had you setup users and then use Mail>Aliases to setup an incoming alias for a local user. Example is we setup the user "Joe" in their domain "domain.com". We then setup an alias of "Sales", which also is redirected to Joe. So "Joe@domain.com" and "Sales@domain.com" both went to Joe's mailbox.
ClearOS has you setup the user "Joe" and then enter "Sales" in Joe's record under the field called "alias". That seems fine.
HOWEVER, we have incoming email for a user named "Sam" that needs to be redirected to an EXTERNAL email address. Example is "Sam@domain.com" needs to be redirected to "Sam123@gmail.com". This doesn't seem to exist.
I only have 5 of these but can't complete the transfer unless I can send the email to their address. Only 1 of the 5 would really be reasonable to convert to retrieving their email directly from the ClearOS external port.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Greg, you can achieve it by manually configuring the transport file in /etc/postfix/transport (there are examples there). Dont forget to apply changes by running 'postmap /etc/postfix/transport' afterwards
Alternatively add it directly as an alias in /etc/aliases
At present there is no means to edit / configure the system mail aliases through the webconfig in 6.x...not sure why sorry!
You can monitor mail logs live using 'tail -f /var/log/maillog' which may help diagnosing -

Further information:
This also works in ClearOS Enterprise 5.2, where is is referrred to as Mail Forwarding. It is under a section in the manual Server>Mail>Aliases the the subtitle says "Add External E-mail (Mail Forwarding).
I just realized this would kill the upgrade for my ClearOS Enterprise 5.2 customer that expires in a few days. Isn't this a popular function? Am I just not finding the right information or is there an alternative method?
