Hello all,
I already installed several systems using a HP Proliant Microserver including a hardware raid 1 wihtout any problem.
Today I've to install one more so I used my HP Smart Array (B120i) to configure my raid.
The problem is when I'm installing my Clearos 6.5, the RAID system is not recognized by the install process and my 2 drivers are shown as unconfigured ...
is there a way to solve that ?
Thanks to all for your help
Regards

The HP ML310e gen8 requires the HPVSA driver to be slipstreamed during install. Try the following:
1. download the driver (http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_02dfeda9561a48029f573342dd&sp4ts.oid=5449154#tab3)
select the one relevant to your version the lastest for 6.6 is (hpvsa-1.2.12-110.rhel6u6.x86_64.dd.gz)
2. uncompress the .gz file
3. rename it from .dd to .iso
4. copy it to a fat formatted USB key
5. when you boot the installer add 'blacklist=ahci dd' on the boot line.
From other post
"...When the installer starts you will be prompted for the device, the file, and the package, for the driver update. When finished you have to select continue. (as hpvsa loads it may drop text on the screen where anaconda is waiting for input so the system may appear hung. If you press enter you get the driver options line refreshed)
In my case I think it was 1, 1, 1, c
When you get into the installer, you will see the HP Logical Volume in the disk selection.
At first I thought I was seeing two disks from the installer, but that was just a first glance mistake. My usb device showed up as sda at 1.90 GB, and the disk volume showed up as sdb at 1.90 TB. Once I smacked myself upside the head and selected the right device the installation continued." -

I have no experience with your issue but I think it is not a problem. Just install it and see what happens you can always uninstall.
Hi Marcel,
There is apparently no just install as i can see.
When i search the internet, i see that you need to add some command to grub.
linux dd blacklist=ahci
Unfortunately it is not working and therefor you can not install the hpvsa rpm
All information i've found talks about editing grub during install. -

From what I read, there is more you need to add to the grub line to get the driver called, but I don't think it will work. If it is a kernel driver it will have to be recompiled for the ClearOS kernel. It is probably better to use mdadm for RAID. If I remember, I'll ask Dave when I next speak to him. -
