If I'm correct we can expect very soon Owncloud as app in the Marketplace!

That would be awesome.
I've been using this stuff since ClarkConnect 1 or something like that.

I have OwnCloud running perfectly on ClearOS 6. Didn't take any fancy configuration. I even moved my OC from an older COS 5 install to COS 6 without a single problem.

I don't have any flexshares or anything, just a standalone web server that hands out DNS and DHCP.

Mind if I ask where you got your install info.
I'd love to get it working.

It's been a while since I revisited the install, [strike]but I believe I simply used the Linux Package option, searched for Owncloud, found the Centos community server rpm, downloaded and installed it. I remember I had to install a couple of dependencies but no real problems beyond that.

After wgetting the rpm, I just ran

rpm -ivh owncloud.server.filename.rpm

I just ran through the process again. If, on the Owncloud Install page, you choose Linux Packages > Continue and choose Centos, it gives you the exact code necessary to get it installed via their repo. Even simpler than the rpm method.

I also had to setup a new MySQL db and user, but that was a snap with phpMyadmin.

I'm looking at a few server platforms to play with at home and currently have a ClearOs box running.

Having OwnCloud installable from the MarketPlace would be a big plus.

Do we have even a guestimate of when it might be available ?

Earlier posts seemed to suggest it was imminent but is it more likely to be weeks or months away ?

Installation was easy using the link above. I just haven't had time to configure and test it.
Once I get a weekend to play (Maybe this one coming up) I'll write up a install and configure process.

Sorry other priorities have got in the way! Just to update - the app was ready but development hit a road block with the update to version 6.0.3 because of problems with the automated installation due to changes in software config

If its still due to be released through the MarketPlace then I'll probably wait until its ready.

I'm no Linux expert and would prefer to use it "properly" integrates with the rest of ClearOS.
