Hi,

I have installed Owncloud from the marketplace and use an external local storage (a flexshare). Everything worked thine for a time. But now, on the clients (windows 8 + MacOS) I can download everything, but I cannot upload changed/new files/folders to the server.

I get (client´s log):

Error downloading http:/...owncloud/remote.php/webdav/....doc - server replied: Forbidden ()

or

Error downloading http:/...owncloud/remote.php/webdav/....doc - server replied: Internal Server Error (Could not write file contents)

In the web-interface (same machine) I can create new files/folders and change them. Just the clients make problems.

What I have already tried:
- Uninstalling owncloud - delete everything (folder + database + mysql user owncloud) - reinstall. From which repository should clearos take the files. Perhaps I have activated wrong ones.

- File Permissions of the external share: Owner is the flexshare user, group apache and others have full access.

- Adding Order allow, deny; allow from all; deny from none to .htaccess in external share root and /user/share/owncloud and in /etc/httpd/owncloud.conf and in /etc/httpd/flex-443.conf; each time I restarted apache.

- Removing /etc/httpd/flex-443.conf. So I can just reach the share by ownclud.

- I have installed apc for php. Removing it did not work. I restarted httpd, but do not know, if this ist enough.

- I have tried to remove mod_evasive.

I had no success and hope you can help me!

    Hi Alexander,

did you find an answer to your last question? I just stumbled over the same problem - clearos 6.7 seams to overwrite my group settings on the webpage folder.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

the problem is solved. It indeed was a file permission problem of a sub folder (no write access for group "apache"). Does flexshare change the file permissions and if yes what can I do to prevent this?

    I'm sorry!
