I just installed ClearOS on a new box and I am getting great speeds (up to 900Mb/s) off my provider. However, when I enable a vpn product (like SurfShark) on a local machine, the speeds drop to only 2-5Mb/s. This was not the case on my older box. Is there a content filter or something that cant handle the encrypted VPN traffic? I have tried multiple protocols and servers. Linux/Windows does not make a difference. How can I pin-point what is slowing it down so much? Usually I can get at least 50Mb/s off SurfShark. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have installed any local filtering (Gateway Management, Proxy/Content Filter, Application Filter or Protocol Filter), please disable them to start with. It you have not installed them or if they are all disabled, please check the output of:
    lspci -k | grep Eth -A3
If any of your NICs shows "RTL8111/8168/8411", update your drivers with:
    yum install kmod-r816*
    Then reboot and test again.
