I am having the following issues with this app from the clearos store:
-slow speeds compaired to native apps created by ibvpn
-servers listed in the app that do not exist anymore
-servers listed that do not connect
How often is this app updated, when will the next update be. I switched VPN companies due to this handy app but now its just a pain in my neck.

The dev in responsible for this was going to release an update a few days ago when he noticed a critical bug. I'm not dure when he is hoping to release it now.
FWIW one bug he was going to fix was where there is a space in the endpoint name such as "Hong Kong" and "New York". At the moment you cannot use these endpoints.
Speed should not be an issue unless you have a very fast internet connection. The underlying app is OpenVPN so anything you can achieve with OpenVPN on your server should be possible with ibVPN.
For speed issues, as a lateral jump, what is the output of:lspci -k | grep Eth -A 3

You have the infamous RTL8111/8168/8411. Assuming you're on ClearOS 7.4, please can you do a :
Then reboot. it should improve you networking performance through that interface.yum install kmod-r816*
Under the bonnet, it replaces the r8169 driver with the r8168 driver which is much better sited to your NIC. -

I am able to get 1GB speeds at 112MB/sec for read write over the network to shares and my speedtest.net is able to pull down my full internet speeds of 150 down and 20 up.
Its only when I send connections through ibvpn that my speeds slow down to 30 down and 9 up. I applied the update you suggested. -
