SMTP Server / Thunderbird Timeout

Hello,

I'm quite desperate.

Sending emails with our Thunderbird Client and SMTP server in CleaorOS works like a charm... As long as the attachments aren't bigger than about 600k.

Is there anything I can do to send mails with larger attachments?

Is this a thunderbird or SMTP server configuration issue?

    Hello,

    message size is set to 50MB

    But I fixed it.

    I change the SMTP-Server connection security in Thunderbird from STARTTLS to NONE.

    And now no timeouts occur anymore.

    Odd...you would find clues in /var/log/maillog too

    What errors do you get?

    What is your maximum message size in Webconfig > Server > SMTP Server > Settings?
