For the one's who own a Logitech Slim device, here's the install command for the Squeezebox Server:

ssh: rpm -Uvh http://repos.slimdevices.com/yum/squeezecenter/release/squeezeboxserver-7.4.1-1.noarch.rpm

Please look in http://repos.slimdevices.com/yum/squeezecenter/release for the current releases.

Have fun and let us know how it works!

    I've made a .repo in the yum directory and can easally install and update squeezebox server with Yum.
    ## Only enable one repository in this list...

    [squeezecenter-release]
    name = SqueezeCenter Release Repository
    baseurl = http://repos.slimdevices.com/yum/squeezecenter/release/
    enabled=1
    gpgcheck=1
    gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-SqueezeCenter
    priority=10

    [squeezecenter-testing]
    name = SqueezeCenter Branch Repository
    baseurl = http://repos.slimdevices.com/yum/squeezecenter/testing/
    enabled=0
    gpgcheck=1
    gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-SqueezeCenter
    priority=10

    [squeezecenter-unstable]
    name = SqueezeCenter Trunk Repository
    baseurl = http://repos.slimdevices.com/yum/squeezecenter/unstable/
    enabled=0
    gpgcheck=1
    gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-SqueezeCenter
    priority=10

    I don't know the source anymore otherwise i would mentioned it.

    I use Softsqueeze to listen to my music at work. You can configure a SSH connection in Softsqueeze. Softsqueeze connects to Slimserver on your ClearOS box.

    I have used the link Marcel provided to set up the Squeezebox Server, which is working great :cheer:

    Now I'm trying to set up the possibility to access the server remotely so I can listen to my music at work. I don't want to open up port 9000, so I'm trying to follow the instructions for connecting remotely using HTTPS/SSL Tunnelling as described here: Connecting Remotely.

    Has anyone done this, and able to provide a walk through?

    Thanks

    Unfotunately squeezeboxserver doesn't exist in the CleaOS / CentOS repos so an update wont appear through yum

    You can control the service with the normal commands, service squeezeboxserver start/stop/restart

    To add media and manage the service simply point your browser at http://mywebser.com:9000

    It's probably better to install the repository and let YUM do the installation:

    rpm -Uvh http://repos.slimdevices.com/yum/squeezecenter/squeezecenter-repo-1-6.noarch.rpm

    yum install squeezeboxserver

    Then when a new release comes along it only requires:

    yum update squeezeboxserver
