Recently i was unable to install updates from the Webconfig interface because some of them are form the epel repository and this repo is not enable by default. In the past i had problem updating some stuff from the epel repo so my question is is it safe to enable this repo with the yum update command ?

Accepted AnswerNick HowittOfflineI would check with the "yum list" command to see where those packages have come from and only update the ones originating from clearos-epel. phpMyAdmin has 18.104.22.168-1 in clearos-test so the official one should be here soon. I'd be wary of imapsync and have a feeling the others are OK but it is up to you to check.

Accepted AnswerNick HowittOfflineNo it is not safe as you'll get some non-compatible updates. I wish this could be fixed but it is low on the dev's priority list. A possible solution would be to install yum-priorities, but I have not tried it.
will tell you what you have installed from there. You can then try updating them.
yum list installed '*' | grep epel
