I have this silly idea that i want to build a portable DHCP/LTE router, not unlike you see in something like this little fellow. http://consumer.huawei.com/en/mobile-broadband/mobile-wifi/features/e5220-en.htm

I would however like a bit more functionality than these quick-and-cheap solutions, for example, i would love to have a VPN tunnel to my private home network. Hence i am looking to do something along the lines of a battery/AC powered pico-ITX box sporting an LTE/3g pci card, with ClearOS installed.

Does anyone have experience with doing something like this? Are there guides somewhere?
Can ClearOS function as a modem?
Is there a list of supported LTE/3g PCI cards somewhere, if any are supported?

Ok this seems to be a hard question.
Can anyone answer parts of it?
    1. Is there a list of supported LTE/3g PCI cards somewhere, if any are supported?
    2. Does anyone have experience using a ClearOS as a LTE router?
