James,

I appreciate your candor and post. This was an unexpected outage for sure, and left many of you feeling ignored. Additional information can be found here in the blog post the popped on this topic. It will hopefully spell out a bit more why the outage occurred.

ClearOS and products that make it more relevant than ever in today's IT space are the top priority for all leadership inside ClearCenter and ClearFoundation. Not a day goes by that we don't consider the community, it's members, forum users, and those like yourself who spend a good deal of time helping further the distribution.

My apologies if you felt ignored, or had the perception that we were ignoring the very life-blood of ClearOS.

Reach out to me directly anytime at djohnson@clearcenter.com or +1 (801) 851-5558.

Cheers.

I know that a team is assigned with the task to put more feedback in place. I really hope that this brings positive changes.

@James. Appreciate your feedback. Stay tuned to new Products built around and for ClearOS. If you have constructive feedback feel free to email mproper@clearcenter.com if you would like leadership to divert resources away from creating real and sustainable value for ClearOS based products vs. provide free Community support. Happy to turn some lights on for you.

I didn't experienced any downtime of the forums but I can imagine that it's can be annoying for people who visiting the forums on that moment. In my opinion Cleacenter can't be blamed if a outage occurred but communicating this can't hurt of course. I'm not sure if this happend already.

Edit: Sorry, I see there was blog post! Diner and reading forum posts is not the best combination. :)

And the responses so far is precisely why the ClearOS leadership is drawing such criticism and alienating long-time and experienced contributors to the forums and allowing them to become so disillusioned with the forums and the lack of appropriate communications from ClearOS leadership and ClearOS devs!

Absolutely no announcements nor apologies for the website outage and no quick responses to the query in the forum.

Shame! Shame! Shame on the ClearOS leadership! ClearOS is such a great product and you are ruining it for everyone!

Wake up and smell the cheese and stop ignoring the community! The ClearOS product will die a slow death if you continue down the current path you are on.
