Which links? I couldn't find any broken download links.
Ah...mis-understanding...I thought you were installing using the 'yum install...' command and seeing errors. You were actually following along with the devel process in Part 3.
Yes...there were some errors in Part 3 and if you install the module that was finally built, you'll see some cleanup and fixes in the way we call the script.
Good catch...in fact, I think Shad and Pete are working on that part of the build environment that takes upstream packages an incorporates them into both SVN (or CVS?) and Shad's automated build system. Let that shake out (I think they're aim is to use it for the 5.2 ISO), and then we'll shed light that process.
For now, I summed up the Blog series in a howto:
and posted the philesight.spec for reference.
RE: Package Manager
That's be http://www.clearfoundation.com/Community/Profile/pbaldwin.html. I know he holds a lot of respect for what you've done Tim, so I'm sure a request for write access to the webconfig source would be granted.
If you're not a developer and want to try this module out, try:
yum install --enablerepo=base-extras app-diskusage
Nice summary Dave.
And while it's a ways off still, Dave's comments around his and John's focus in directory services is a good segway (and validation) for thinking about future editions. A ClearOS Home Edition would not be a 'crippled' version of Enterprise Edition...it would actually be more valuable (useful) than the Enterprise Edition for a home - I don't want to jump through hoops to access my family photos sitting on my home server.
It actually highlights the strength of the model we've started to embark on...Everyone benefits from having an active, open platform.
