It can be integrated with flexshares in different ways. If you log onto the NC admin interface you can add samba shares. Logging on as admin allows you to add them globally and I think the users can also add them individually. I have one samba share (not a flexshare but it does not matter) mapped for my son so he can access his files while at Uni.
