ClearOS7 moving to new hardware, SAMBA Ethernet problem
I am building a new ClearOS 7 community server on temporary hardware to migrate the data and emails from the current ClearOS 5.2 server. All's going well until I pit the new ClearOS7 drive back into the target hardware. The hardware does not have the same Ethernet card and so I have to go in via the graphical interface and activate the new Ethernet port as External and delete the old one. This trick works for access to the ClearOS web interface and email but SAMBA won't start.
Attempts to get SAMBA to start just make things worse. Is there a procedure for replacing the network card in ClearOS7?
