Shell Extension

The Shell Extension module allows access to the SSH shell by specified users.

Installation

If your system does not have this app available, you can install it via the Marketplace.

You can find this feature in the menu system at the following location:

<navigation>System|Accounts|Users</navigation> where there will be an additional section titled “Login Shell”

Configuration

You will see a section in Webconfig > System > Accounts > Users. The Shell dropdown gives the following options:

/bin/sh
/bin/bash
/sbin/nologin
/usr/bin/sh
/usr/bin/bash
/usr/sbin/nologin

To have SSH access, you will need to allocate the sh or bash shell to the user.

/bin and /usr/bin are synonymous as are /sbin and /usr/sbin so you only really have 3 choices
