I am looking at replacing an old Small Business Server 2003 with ClearOS - but noticed ClearOS has Directory Server or Samba Directory for AD implementation.
Which would be recommended to use of the two? Please correct me if I am wrong, but both really do the same but not sure which would give less problems..
I noticed that Samba Directory is still in beta but not really much information about Directory Server.
Thanks

Hi David,
Samba Directory is still very definitely Beta. A number of apps do not work with it - see here. The Directory Server uses LDAP and is the tried and tested directory server. There is also an AD connector (which costs), but will allow you to connect to an existing AD implementation.
