I found that the clearos GitHub https://github.com/clearos has had no updates for 3 years. What is the newest source code repository you are developing? Or the clearos has stopped developing, has not it? Or the updating schedules are always slow like this time, for 3 years?

    Hi Sean,

The source code is hosted on GitLab: GitLab

Do you want to do development for ClearOS?

    Thanks.
Yes, I'm investigating an open-source firewall system for our new customized firewall project. I checked that It is also not very active even in GitLab. Do you plan to release a new version recently?

ClearOS 7 is based on Centos 7. Centos 7 is now in maintenance mode until July 2024 when it goes end-of-life - https://wiki.centos.org/About/Product. There will be no further full releases of Centos 7 so no further full releases of Clearos 7. Until it goes end-of-life there are security and stability fixes being applied rippling down from upstream (EL7 -> Centos 7 -> Clearos 7). Ther are also updates from EPEL. For the ClearOS specific apps there are small updates and improvements being pushed all the time, the latest being to the Attack Detector app. It is anticipated that this will go on.

We are waiting for some sort of announcement from the ClearOS management team about ClearOS 8 or the future of ClearOS 7 after its end-of-life but it is extremely slow in coming. :(
